You will be part of a supportive team that values creativity, sustainability, and pioneering approaches, all while enjoying flexible working opportunities and access to state‑of‑the‑art resources. If you are looking for a role where your technical skills are valued and your professional growth is encouraged, this is the perfect next step in your career.

  • Join a highly respected property developer at the forefront of large‑scale urban regeneration, contributing to landmark projects that shape communities and deliver thousands of homes and amenities.
  • Experience a workplace culture built on strong values such as creativity, people‑first thinking, sustainability, and pride, ensuring you feel connected and supported every step of the way.
  • Benefit from flexible working arrangements, ongoing training opportunities, and a commitment to employee wellbeing within a dynamic and inclusive team environment.
What you’ll do:

As an Interim Tax Accountant based in London, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the tax function during a period of significant activity. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will see you collaborating closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless delivery of tax‑related tasks. From preparing complex tax provisions for statutory accounts to managing detailed corporation tax returns and responding efficiently to auditor queries, your input will be vital in maintaining high standards of compliance. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to key submissions such as SAO notifications while providing valuable support on ad‑hoc transactions. Success in this position requires not only technical proficiency but also excellent communication skills, adaptability in handling multiple priorities, and a genuine commitment to upholding organisational values. Your efforts will help drive best practices across the department while supporting broader business objectives tied to sustainability and community impact.

  • Assist with the preparation and review of current and deferred tax provisions for statutory accounts in collaboration with the Direct Tax Manager, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Liaise closely with both internal financial reporting teams and external auditors to address audit queries promptly and effectively throughout the audit process.
  • Prepare corporation and partnership tax returns, including test submission of iXBRL accounts, maintaining meticulous attention to detail at every stage.
  • Support the finalisation of Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) notifications and submissions to HMRC, ensuring all deadlines are met with precision.
  • Provide general support to the wider tax team on ad‑hoc transactions, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to evolving business needs.
  • Undertake additional duties as directed by your manager that fall within the general scope of the role, raising any capacity issues proactively for effective workload management.
  • Participate fully in annual and half‑year performance development reviews, meeting company standards for personal growth and contribution.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of IT systems relevant to your role, undertaking necessary training to ensure optimal use of available technology.
  • Demonstrate alignment with company values through daily actions, fostering respect, awareness, and belonging across the business.
  • Work within established policies, procedures, governance frameworks, and sustainability goals to ensure responsible resource use and positive environmental impact.
What you bring:
  • Hold a recognised tax or accounting qualification such as CTA, ACCA or ACA which underpins your technical expertise in this field.
  • Demonstrate proven experience working within a tax function—ideally within the real estate sector—enabling you to understand industry‑specific challenges.
  • Possess hands‑on familiarity with Alphatax software or similar platforms used for corporate tax computations and filings.
  • Showcase intermediate to advanced Excel skills that allow you to analyse data efficiently and present findings clearly.
  • Exhibit excellent communication abilities that enable you to collaborate effectively with colleagues across finance teams as well as external auditors.
  • Display a dependable approach by taking responsibility for assigned tasks and consistently delivering work of a high standard within agreed timelines.
  • Adapt quickly when supporting ad‑hoc transactions or new projects as they arise within the wider tax team environment.
  • Remain knowledgeable about group activities through active engagement with internal communications channels.
  • Align naturally with core company values such as creativity, people‑first thinking, pioneering spirit, sustainability focus, and pride in collective achievements.
