Interim Children’s Registered Manager – EBD Home (Stafford Area) Salary: £50,000–£55,000 (pro rata)

A well-established Children’s EBD residential home in the Stafford area is seeking an experienced Interim Registered Manager to provide strong leadership and ensure high-quality care standards during a period of transition.

This home offers a warm, supportive, and stable environment for up to three young people. With spacious communal areas including a large lounge, conservatory / games room, and a family-style kitchen and dining space, the home is designed to provide safety, comfort, and opportunities for positive development. Young people each benefit from their own private, personalised bedroom.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and children’s home legislation.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing environment that supports the wellbeing and developmental needs of the young people.
  • Provide clear leadership to the staff team, offering guidance, supervision, and professional development.
  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding processes.
  • Maintain high standards of record-keeping, quality assurance, and operational efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies, local authorities, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a Children’s Residential EBD setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding frameworks, and Children’s Homes Regulations.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • A commitment to delivering child-centred, trauma-informed care.
