Job Description

Our client, a really exciting organisation that helps companies set and hit climate change and net zero targets, is now seeking the support of a Corporate Governance Manager - a role that is to be offered as a six month fixed term contract (but could be extended).

You'll be joining a small, yet growing legal and compliance team comprising of 5 team members, which includes the Head of Legal to whom this role will report directly to. In the post of Governance Manager, you would lead on the development and implementation of the governance framework, ensuring it meets best practice standards for a UK charity. You'll also take a key role in monitoring key policies, which might also include conflicts of interest and work on complaints management.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience of charity governance as well as from the private sector. Understanding of policy development and management is also key, alongside demonstratable experience of being able to communicate and educate on such matters with cross-functional teams, decision makers and all forms of stakeholders and clients internally and externally to the organisation. A good understanding and positive interest in improving climate change and achieving net zero is also important to have.
