Overview

Interim Financial Accountant | Cardiff area/hybrid | £55,000-£60,000

The Financial Accountant will support the Finance team in providing financial analysis in a range of areas, with the opportunity to implement improvements in processes and procedures, to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

The role will include the processing of day-to-day financial transactions, preparation of monthly management accounts, working in collaboration with the Finance Business Partners and assisting with audits and the production of statutory financial statements.

Responsibilities
  • General ledger accounting, with responsibility for maintaining the integrity of the balance sheet and resolving any issues as and when they arise.
  • Assisting with the preparation and reporting of management information and providing data insights where appropriate.
  • Working with the Financial Controller and other team members to optimise use of current and future technology and assisting with driving efficiencies and improvements in various projects.
Experience / Qualifications
  • Professional working experience in a financial reporting role
  • ACCA or ACA qualified
  • Experienced user of Excel
  • Experience using an ERP system
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of working in large complex businesses
  • Strong technical statutory reporting knowledge including VAT and Tax returns.
