A leading educational institution in Rugby is seeking a skilled trainer to join the Carpentry and Joinery team. This role involves training and assessing learners, developing their skills in a workshop environment, and maintaining workshop equipment. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Carpentry studies and relevant teaching qualifications. The position requires an Enhanced DBS check due to the nature of the work with children and young adults.
This role is based in the UK and will be working on site in our UK based College.
In order to comply with our mandatory pre-employment checks, the successful candidate will be required to provide original identification documents in person to our UK based People Services Department.

Any offers of appointment will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (formerly CRB), a certificate of good conduct if applicable, plus receipt of satisfactory references, Occupational Health clearance, an understanding of safeguarding and qualifications verification. An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position as you will be working within “Regulated Activity” within a specific place (i.e. the College). This role is classed as working within Regulated Activity. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. By applying for this position, you agree to an Enhanced DBS check in line with DBS regulations.

The Construction Department consists of Brickwork, Carpentry and Joinery, Electrical Installation, Mechanical Services, Multi-skills at the College’s Leamington Spa, Moreton Morrell and Rugby Centres. The person appointed will join the Carpentry and Joinery team. The area delivers training on Carpentry and Joinery courses Level 1-3 to Apprenticeships, full and part time.
The post holder will be a member of the Construction Department and join the Carpentry and Joinery delivery team. The post is responsible to the Head of School.
