Job Description:

Remote working for UK-based candidates.

We’re hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to support the live on-premise deployment and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters using RKE2. This role involves working within a delivery-critical environment and requires experience with infrastructure as code, open-source integration, and hands-on cluster configuration.

The responsibilities include:

  • Managing multi-node RKE2 clusters – setup, networking, RBAC, disaster recovery, and failover
  • Installing and configuring open-source components such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alloy, PostgreSQL, Rook Ceph, ActiveMQ Artemis, and Keycloak
  • Using Kubernetes native deployment tools like Helm and Kustomize, and exposure to FluxCD pipelines
  • Service integration and lifecycle management – dashboards, databases, identity, messaging, and object storage
  • Delivering on-prem solutions with full infrastructure control from installation to runtime, avoiding cloud-native shortcuts
  • Communicating clearly and confidently with technical teams to ensure stable deployments and smooth handovers

This role is ideal for Infrastructure Engineers who have not only worked with Kubernetes but have shipped, configured, and supported it in real production environments.
