ROC Search's client is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer with strong IT and infrastructure support experience.
The role focuses on designing, maintaining, and optimising core infrastructure services while ensuring reliability, security, and performance. You'll work closely with DevOps, Development, Product, and Client Services teams to support business-critical systems.
This position suits an experienced Support Engineer or SRE looking to deepen infrastructure and cloud expertise. Cloud experience is advantageous but not essential, with a planned cloud migration commencing in 2026.

Provide IT support including laptop/desktop setup and troubleshooting
Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and backups
Design and implement infrastructure solutions across servers, networks, storage, and cloud
Support planning and delivery of cloud migration initiatives
Automate tasks using PowerShell and scripting
Identify and remediate vulnerabilities (including patching and some out-of-hours work)
Recommend infrastructure improvements and support software/client deployments
Maintain technical documentation and follow controlled change processes
5+ years' relevant experience
Strong knowledge of VMware and Windows-based infrastructure
Experience with servers, networking, storage, and security best practices
PowerShell scripting experience
DNS and SSL certificate management
Experience with ticketing systems, SLAs, and escalation processes
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
Experience with monitoring, backup/DR, and firewalls
Azure or other cloud exposure
Automation / Infrastructure as Code awareness
SIEM, MFA/2FA, IIS, SQL Server, VPN and patch management experience
Project delivery experience
Basic Linux and scripting (Python/Bash)
Relevant Microsoft certifications
