A leading toy manufacturer in London seeks an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to provide VAT advisory support and lead tax-focused projects across the EMEA region. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience in UK and European indirect tax, a Chartered Tax Advisor qualification, and strong project management abilities. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, managing relationships with tax authorities, and ensuring compliance with indirect tax obligations. Competitive compensation offered.
For a quarter of a century, the Jellycat family have brought joy, wonder and playful fun to people of all ages, in every part of the world. Utterly original and in a class of their own, they are currently among the most loved and collected toys of their kind. How has this gentle tribe endeared themselves to so many? Perhaps it is their whimsical expressions. Or the deliciously soft fabrics. Or the beautiful way in which they sit in your hand. Whatever it is, there is something magical and unmistakeable about each one of them.
We are currently seeking an Indirect Tax Manager to join our Global Tax team. This newly created role will have responsibility for providing EMEA VAT advisory support across the Jellycat business, as well as identifying and leading VAT focused projects (such as process improvement, compliance and systems), and delivering on our global tax strategy.
This role will require collaboration with business teams across Jellycat, dealing with cross-border indirect tax matters and omni-channel transactions (e.g. wholesale, e-commerce). The nature of our business is primarily goods, and therefore, indirect tax knowledge and experience in this area is essential. Whilst this role is primarily advisory, review and oversight of the indirect tax compliance by the Accounting team may be required.
