Job summary

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct inclusive support for a caseload of students with SEND and / or inclusion needs and support their achievement, attendance and retention at College;
  • Undertake pre-entry assessments and regular reviews of students;
  • Liaise with College staff in the planning of appropriate support for learners with SEND, including special examination arrangements and careers advice;
  • Produce SEND support plans; and
  • Lead on EHCP consultations and annual reviews.
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent;
  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths;
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development;
  • Experience of working in a learning support capacity;
  • Good working knowledge of students with SEND and / or inclusion needs;
  • Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment;
  • Excellent knowledge of safeguarding procedures;
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships;
