Overview

John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives – and the world. As a partner academy in JTMAT, we are seeking to appoint a hardworking, committed and enthusiastic Inclusion Support Assistant to join our evolving organisation. The successful candidate will work within the Individual Needs team, alongside teaching staff, to support students to access their learning. Under the direction of the SENDCo, you will support students with day‑to‑day tasks in order for them to access the curriculum. Excellent communication between the successful candidate, staff and students is expected, and all staff are expected to work alongside teaching staff to be role models for our students, demonstrating the highest standards of teamwork, collaboration and respect.

Responsibilities
  • Work within the Individual Needs team to support students to access their learning.
  • Assist students with day‑to‑day tasks to enable access to the curriculum, under the direction of the SENDCo.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and students to ensure smooth support delivery.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to model teamwork, collaboration and respect for students.
  • Support the implementation of tailored learning plans for individual students.
  • Provide assistive support as required to meet students’ varied educational needs.

Remuneration & Working Hours

Fixed‑term position linked to external funding for an individual student, to be reviewed each academic year. Part‑time working 32.5 hours per week, term time only for 39.2 weeks per year. Salary: Grade 4 (SCP 5‑6) £25,583 – £25,989 per annum pro rata. Actual salary: £19,513.87 – £19,823.56 per annum.
