Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a qualified Lawyer to join the in-house legal team for a major infrastructure project in Birmingham. You will support project managers in interpreting and applying complex construction and commercial contracts. Candidates must have a UK solicitor qualification, experience in commercial contracts, and strong verbal and written communication skills. This role offers a salary between £55,687.20 and £65,950, with a flexible work arrangement of three days in the office.

Qualifications

  • UK qualified solicitor with UK-based post-qualification experience (>18 months).
  • Strong construction and/or commercial contracts background (contentious or non-contentious).
  • Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day legal support across a portfolio of contracts.
  • Advise project managers on complex contracts.
  • Draft and negotiate key documents including contracts and deeds of variation.

Skills

Strong construction and/or commercial contracts background
Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
Ability to interpret complex contractual provisions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently
