Import Coordinator – Thurrock, Essex

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage the complete import process for shipments arriving in the UK via deep-sea freight.
  • Handle pricing and booking of international shipments.
  • Coordinate required shipping documentation and ensure compliance with UK import regulations.
  • Oversee and manage container groupage shipments where applicable.
  • Communicate with shipping lines, suppliers, and clients to track and manage shipments.
  • Support customs clearance processes by preparing necessary paperwork.
  • Liaise with customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate customs entries.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of import regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and provide guidance to trainee coordinators.
  • Input and maintain shipment data in internal systems accurately.
  • Resolve issues or delays proactively by liaising with appropriate parties.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by providing timely updates and solutions.
What We’re Looking For
