Job summary

An SME Freight Forwarder in Farnborough is seeking an experienced Import Clerk. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of UK import clearance experience in an operational environment with knowledge of CDS. Responsibilities include managing air, sea, and road clearances, arranging deliveries, and ensuring compliance with incoterms. This full-time position offers a salary range of £28-35k DOE plus overtime, along with 22 days of holiday and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of recent UK import clearance experience.
• Experience working in an import ops environment for an international freight forwarder.
• Knowledge of the UK transport landscape.

Responsibilities

• Manage import operations for air, sea, and road clearances.
• Arrange deliveries and international shipping arrangements.
• Work within office hours: Monday to Friday, 9-5:30.

Our client are an SME Freight Forwarder based at Farnborough who have a new exciting opportunity available, office based for an experienced Import Clerk.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years current / recent UK import clearance and current CDS experience in an import ops environment working for an International freight forwarder in the UK.

Employment Terms for the Import Clerk

£28-35k DOE plus overtime

22 days plus BH

Mon-Friday 9-5.30pm

Skills & Experience Required for the Import Clerk

Knowledge of incoterms and all modes shipping, the UK transport landscape and Heathrow.

Air, Sea and Road clearances and arranging deliveries and some international shipping arrangements.

Must be quick to learn and a self starter. Knowledge of Sequoia & Boxtop an advantage.
