Job summary

An organization supporting young people is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist in Wokingham. This role involves managing your own caseload, conducting assessments, and developing intervention plans to help young individuals achieve their aspirations. Ideal candidates will have specific qualifications, hands-on experience with mental health needs, and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. Flexible working hours are available, 2–3 days per week.

Qualifications

  • Speech and Language qualification and RCSLT registration.
  • Hands-on experience working with individuals with social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Previous experience working with young people with ADHD, ASD, FASD, anxiety (highly desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking specialist assessments of a young person’s speech and language skills.
  • Writing comprehensive speech and language assessment reports.
  • Conducting individual and group interventions with the young people.

Skills

Speech and Language qualification and RCSLT registration
Hands-on experience with individuals with social, emotional and mental health needs
Experience with young people with ADHD, ASD, FASD
Advanced observational skills
Interpret and manage complex facts regarding caseload
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
ADOS and ADI-R training
