A healthcare organization in Harrogate is seeking individuals for a support role in the imaging department. This position involves assisting medical staff while providing care to patients across various imaging modalities. Ideal candidates should have Level 2 qualifications in a health-related subject. The department operates 24/7, requiring flexibility in working hours.

This post is based in the Imaging department and is a support role. It offers new skills, the chance to see a diverse range of roles and learn different career pathways. The role will involve working overnight on a roster basis, and is Band 2 with a view to progress to Band 3 upon completion of the preceptorship programme or with relevant previous experience and qualifications.
Assist Sonographers and Radiologists, Radiographic and Nursing staff in the smooth running of the imaging department, including general X‑ray, ultrasound, bone mineral densitometry, breast imaging, CT, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine at Harrogate District Hospital, Ripon Community Hospital and other community settings. This includes greeting patients, changing them into gowns, assisting with standard and aseptic procedures, providing personal care such as toileting, undertaking necessary clerical work and liaising with wards and clinicians.
Level 2 qualifications in a relevant health‑care related subject or completion of the CARE certificate is required. A preceptorship programme is in place for progression to level 3 when complete.
Applicants should be highly motivated, hardworking, and strive to deliver excellent care. Ideally experience in a care setting, good verbal and written communication skills and reasonable numeracy are required.
The department operates across 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
