Independent Free Trade Account Manager - Bristol

The Independent Free Trade Account Manager role offers an entrepreneurial, end-to-end remit with full ownership and P&L accountability. You’ll work directly with customers and take a consultative approach to selling, providing solutions tailored to their venues and customer base.

Responsibilities

• Nurture the territory end-to-end with full P&L accountability and direct customer engagement, using a consultative selling approach.
• Sell the Asahi portfolio and also supply third party wines, spirits, and soft drinks; help design cocktail menus and run wine tastings.
• Develop knowledge of the territory and brands to identify new business opportunities and grow the premium outlets.
• Engage with regional multiple retail groups (MRGs), chains of bars, hotels, and restaurants buying direct from you; manage the complexity of these customer groups.
• Apply an in-depth understanding of the independent free trade market to provide solutions-based support and adapt to different customer personalities.
• Collaborate with the corporate support network to deliver results while maintaining an entrepreneurial mindset.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience in independent free trade or related premium hospitality sectors with a consultative approach.
• Experience selling beer, wine, and spirits; ability to design menus and run tastings.
• Ability to manage an end-to-end territory with P&L responsibility and drive growth.
• Strong relationship-building skills with MRGs, chains, hotels, and restaurants; capable of handling complex account types.
• Understanding of premium outlets and a track record of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Excellent communication and adaptability to work with diverse personalities.
