The ICT Department is seeking to recruit an ICT Technical Specialist to play a pivotal role in the development, implementation, security, testing, and support of ICT systems and solutions across the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS).
Reporting to the Head of ICT Infrastructure and Security, this is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to influence and contribute into the design and the provision of ICT services relied upon nationally.
A key focus for this role is to improve the Service’s security posture and reduce its exposure to security threats. A solid understanding of vulnerabilities and controls and the impact of control implementation is essential.
Requirements for this post include excellent Microsoft technical skills, problem solving skills, prioritisation skills and the ability to work flexibly when priorities change. Strong scripting skills are also desirable.
Excellent communication and documentation skills are paramount, as is the ability to work individually and as part of a team.
The post requires education to degree level in a relevant subject. Microsoft technical certifications are highly desirable.
This is a full-time (37hrs) permanent post.
The base location for the successful candidate and any opportunities for hybrid working will be discussed at interview. On-Premise meetings/work completion will be a requirement.
