Job Overview

As the Afterschool club assistant you will work with primary school aged children 4‑11 years, collecting them at 15:15 and caring until 18:00 during term times.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities in a safe caring environment. Provide comprehensive care, including collecting children from school and delivering them safely to parents or carers. Set up the play space, move furniture and play equipment. Provide refreshments and ensure hygiene, health and safety standards are met. Administer first aid when necessary. Consult with children and involve them in planning activities. Help with club administration where necessary. Encourage parental involvement and facilitate good communication with parents, schools and all members of the organisation. Undertake relevant training and keep the work environment healthy, safe and secure in accordance with policies and procedures.
