Overveiw of Role:

As a Nightshift Hygiene Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all production areas, equipment, and machinery are cleaned to the highest food safety and quality standards. Working as part of the nightshift hygiene team, you will help prepare the factory for the next day’s production runs maintaining the highest level of cleanliness throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out cleaning of production lines, equipment, and factory areas in line with company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Dismantle and reassemble machinery for deep cleaning where required.
  • Complete hygiene records and checks accurately.
  • Work closely with the line management and wider team to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
What we are looking for:
  • Previous experience in a hygiene, cleaning, or food manufacturing environment (desirable but not essential – full training provided)
  • Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working night shifts
  • Basic understanding of food safety and health & safety (training will be given)
  • Good level of fitness and flexibility due to the nature of the job role
  • Be able to carry out duties within the production environment that involves working in cold, wet and misty environments for prolonged periods
