Job summary

A finance recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Management Accountant for a 6-month fixed term contract based in Sale, with hybrid working options. The role requires proficiency in Sage 50 or 200 and strong management accounting experience. Responsibilities include preparing management accounts, overseeing the Sage system, and supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts. An immediate start is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or QBE with relevant experience.
• Strong experience in a management accounting role.
• Advanced working knowledge of Sage (preferably Sage 50 or Sage 200).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and formulas).
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including profit and loss.
• Maintain and oversee the Sage accounting system.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Provide cash flow forecasts and financial performance analysis.
