Job summary

A progressive law firm in Greater Manchester seeks an Associate or Senior Associate Solicitor to support SME and large businesses on employment law cases. The role involves advising on HR issues, managing tribunal claims, and building client relationships. Candidates should have strong experience in contentious and non-contentious employment law, a UK Practising Certificate, and excellent communication skills. The position offers a salary of up to £65k plus a 10% bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law.
  • 5PQE experience.
  • Current Practising Certificate as a solicitor or barrister in the UK.
  • Excellent communication, drafting and analytical skills.
  • Confidence in client-facing roles, with strong commercial awareness.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload with independence and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients on a range of employment law matters.
  • Advise on ACAS early conciliation and HR issues.
  • Draft and review contracts and settlement agreements.
  • Manage Employment Tribunal claims from instruction to hearing.
  • Conduct advocacy, case management, and client briefings.
  • Deliver training and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Build strong client relationships.
