A niche engineering manufacturer is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to develop new business and manage key customer relationships across the UK. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background, proven sales experience, and comfort presenting to customers. The role offers a salary between £55,000 and £65,000, car allowance, and a performance-related bonus, with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

  • Engineering or technical background.
  • Proven experience in technical or engineering-led sales.
  • Strong HVAC or air handling knowledge.
  • Comfortable presenting to customers and operating autonomously.
  • Commercially driven, self-motivated, and resilient under pressure.
  • Ideally brings an existing industry network or client base.
  • Confident using CRM systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Happy to travel across the UK to meet clients.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively develop new business opportunities and projects nationwide.
  • Build and manage long-term client relationships within the HVAC sector.
  • Attend customer meetings and site visits across the UK.
  • Produce technical solutions, engineering calculations, and accurate costings.
  • Prepare and present detailed quotations and proposals.
  • Chase quotations through to commercial decision.
  • Use CRM systems to manage pipeline and reporting.
  • Deliver monthly sales reporting and forecasts.
  • Work collaboratively within a close-knit, supportive team.
