Humanities Teacher - PRU Full-Time Long-Term Start Date: January 2026

Are you an experienced Humanities Teacher with the skills and resilience to support young people in an alternative provision setting?

Academics is currently working with a well‑regarded Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Birmingham, who are looking to appoint a full‑time Humanities Teacher from January 2026 on a long‑term basis.

This is a challenging but highly rewarding role, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about working with students who need a different approach to learning and behaviour support.

The Role
  • Position: Humanities Teacher (flexibility across History, Geography, RE)
  • Start Date: January 2026
  • Contract Type: Full‑Time, Long‑Term
  • Location: Birmingham
  • Setting: PRU – supporting students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) and experience delivering Humanities subjects
