Job Title: KS3 Humanities Cover Teacher (with Planning & Preparation)
Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Contract Type: Temporary
Duration: Immediate start – July
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

A secondary school in Crawley is seeking a motivated and committed KS3 Humanities Cover Teacher to join their team on a temporary, full-time basis from now until July.

This role will involve teaching Key Stage 3 Humanities, including subjects such as History, Geography and Religious Education, with full responsibility for planning and preparation. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning and supporting pupils’ academic progress during the placement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and well-structured KS3 Humanities lessons
  • Plan, prepare and adapt lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Monitor, assess and support student progress where appropriate
  • Follow school policies and work collaboratively with the Humanities department
Requirements
  • Experience teaching Humanities at KS3 within a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one prior to starting
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday for the full duration of the assignment
  • A professional, flexible and reliable approach to teaching
