About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced HR Operations Manager to lead the operational delivery of HR services for a dynamic organisation of approximately 600 employees. This role plays a critical part in driving efficiency, consistency, and excellence across the full employee lifecycle, as well as contributing to strategic HR initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands‑on HR professional with a passion for systems, data, and process improvement, who thrives in a fast‑paced, commercially focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the HR Operations function, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of all HR services
- Manage and optimise the HRIS (RSM), ensuring effective self‑service capabilities and data integrity
- Oversee all payroll activity in collaboration with Finance and external providers, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance
- Own and deliver the employee lifecycle processes – from onboarding to offboarding
- Manage the HR administration and recruitment teams, supporting strategy and ensuring SLAs are met
- Deliver regular HR reporting and data analysis, including key metrics such as Gender Pay Gap reporting
- Lead on reward and benefits processes, including benchmarking, salary reviews, and bonus schemes
- Support strategic change programmes such as restructures, acquisitions, and integrations
- Review and improve policies across HR Operations, Payroll, and Employee Relations
- Act as a point of escalation for high‑risk employee relations cases when required
- Ensure readiness and compliance for HR audits
- Continuously seek ways to improve service delivery and enhance the employee experience
About You
- Significant experience in an HR Operations role with team management responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, payroll, and HR compliance
- Hands‑on experience managing reward cycles, benchmarking, and benefits programmes
- High attention to detail and a process improvement mindset
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret complex HR data
- A track record of building effective relationships across the business
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience working with HRIS systems and optimising their use
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, commercially driven environment
