HR Manager – Oxford - £30,000 to £35,000 per year – Hybrid

FryerMiles are delighted to be assisting a brilliant charity organisation to help in their recruitment of a HR Manager to join their team on a permanent basis in Oxford.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive work culture, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and driving strategic workforce initiatives. Responsible for overseeing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR policies, the role requires a proactive leader who can support staff development while aligning HR strategies with organisational goals. This individual will champion fair and transparent practices, manage redundancies with sensitivity, and enhance operational efficiency through effective HR processes.

Responsibilities include but not limited to :
  • Recruitment, onboarding and retention strategies
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment laws
  • Provide guidance on workplace disputes and disciplinary procedures.
  • Lead redundancy processes with fairness and transparency, ensuring legal and ethical considerations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies that support organisational objectives and a positive work environment.
  • Coordinate training and development programs to enhance staff skills and performance.
  • Oversee payroll transitions and HR system integrations to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Support managers in fostering a high performance culture.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership, aligning HR initiatives with business development goals.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organisation.
  • Lead GDPR compliance across the organisation.
  • Manage the process for onboarding international applications requiring sponsorship
  • Be the lead champion for the internal HRIS and provide management data, where required, for management, CEO and the board of trustees.
  • Maintain all employees’ files.
Requirements
  • 3+ years HR experience
  • CIPD Level 3
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law
  • Experience building HR strategy for a small business – desirable
  • Proficient in HR systems
