Our Tier 1 civil engineering client is delivering a £2.9 billion nuclear construction project, and we're looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead workforce planning, employee engagement and compliance in a highly regulated environment. Your duties and responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with project objectives and company policies
  • Lead workforce planning, recruitment and onboarding for a large, multi‑disciplinary team
  • Ensure compliance with employment law, nuclear site regulations and security clearance requirements
  • Drive employee engagement, diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Manage employee relations, performance management and disciplinary processes
  • Partner with senior leadership to support organisational development and succession planning
  • Oversee HR reporting, metrics and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & experience
  • CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent HR qualification)
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager in large‑scale projects or complex organisations
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience in regulated environments, construction or engineering ideally
Additional desirable experience
  • Experience with HR systems and digital tools
  • Background in workforce planning for major infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of NEC contract frameworks and project‑based HR challenges
