Job summary

A high-growth organisation in Scotland is seeking a commercially minded HR Manager to oversee operational HR for approximately 90 employees. This standalone role offers a predominantly remote work environment with monthly onsite presence in Edinburgh. Ideal candidates will have strong HR experience, autonomy in their work, and a coaching style that fosters collaboration. The position also considers a four-day working week.

HR Manager Circa £50,000 DOE
Predominantly Remote | Monthly Onsite in Edinburgh

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded HR Manager to join a high-growth, ever-evolving organisation operating within a PE-backed environment.

This is a true standalone role, offering full ownership of operational HR across a population of circa 90 employees. The role is highly execution-focused and ideally suited to someone who enjoys rolling their sleeves up, driving change and making things happen in a fast-paced setting. This role will suit someone agile, commercially driven, and who thrives in a dynamic environment, with the confidence to work autonomously and influence at all levels.

The role is predominantly remote, with onsite presence in Edinburgh required approximately once every three weeks. The business is also open to a four-day working week.

Experience Required
  • Proven, strong experience in an HR Manager or senior generalist capacity
  • Confident operating across the full employee lifecycle
  • Able to work with a high level of autonomy and initiative
  • Comfortable managing your own administrative workload as part of a standalone role
  • Natural coaching style and highly collaborative approach
  • M&A experience, including integration and harmonisation of terms
  • HR qualification (CIPD or equivalent)
  • Natural agile, commercially driven and able to operate at pace
  • Background within a tech, IT, scale-up or SME environment is highly advantageous
