VANRATH is exclusively partnering with a leading NI construction business located south of County L/Derry, to appoint a HR Business Partner to the team, on a full-time permanent basis.

You will be based in the Northwest HQ, but support sites in Belfast and UK mainland, with travel to Belfast once a week, and travel to UK, once a month.

The Role

The HR Business Partner will support the HR Director in the delivery of the organisation's people strategy by providing effective, professional, and business focused HR partnership to sites in Northern Ireland and England.

The HR Business Partner will act as the primary HR lead for their designated sites, ensuring the consistent application of HR standards, operational excellence, and compliance.

Working collaboratively within a wider HR team, the postholder will contribute to strategic HR initiatives, while managing the full spectrum of employee relations, workforce development, and cultural engagement activities locally.

The Person
  • CIPD Qualified (or working towards).
  • Degree in HR, business, or a related field (desirable).
  • Demonstrable HR generalist experience within manufacturing, construction, or another operational sector.
  • Strong, demonstrable experience managing employee relations cases end-to-end.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations and remote site leadership teams advantageous.
  • Excellent understanding of NI law with understanding of UK employment law advantageous.
  • Skilled in coaching managers and building capability on site and remotely.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel flexibly.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
