Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for the NHS, starting immediately on a hybrid basis with travel required between Norwich and Cambridge. This role involves providing proactive HR support, managing employee relations, and developing workforce plans. Candidates must be CIPD qualified, with robust experience in a Business Partner role and strong performance management skills. The contract is for 2 months, requiring 37.5 hours of work per week.

Qualifications

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent qualification at Masters level.
  • Significant experience in a Business Partner position, ideally in the NHS context.
  • Ability to produce detailed reports and consultation papers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive HR support to Community Unit and Service Leads.
  • Act as a trusted SME across HR and people management.
  • Shape recruitment and retention strategies with leads.
  • Develop measurable workforce plans.
  • Lead key HR activities including Employee Relations and Diversity.

We’re looking for an experienced HR Business Partner (Band 7) who is available to start immediately and support two key NHS sites.

This is a hybrid role with travel required between Norwich and Cambridge.

Key Requirements

  • Work closely with Community Unit and Service Leads to provide proactive, customer-focused HR support.
  • Act as a trusted subject matter expert across all HR and people management areas, linking with wider Workforce functions.
  • Partner with Recruitment & Retention leads to shape and deliver effective recruitment / retention strategies and address workforce challenges.
  • Support service areas in developing realistic, measurable workforce plans.
