Responsibilities

  • Recruit, mentor, and support staff to strengthen leadership.

  • Ensure workforce data and metrics are accurate.

  • Support Learning & Development in identifying training needs.
  • Stay updated with employment law and update policies.

Job description

We are pleased to be working with a large, well-known public-sector organisation in their search for an HR Business Partner.

This role supports the delivery of effective HR services by maintaining accurate workforce data, ensuring HR systems are secure and functional, and assisting with reporting, system administration, and compliance with HR policies and employment regulations.

The role:

  • Recruit, mentor, and support staff to strengthen leadership and boost engagement.
  • Develop and evaluate effective training and development programs.
  • Advise management on HR matters, ensuring best practices in employee relations, recruitment, and performance management.
  • HR strategy with business goals, translating plans into practical people solutions.
  • Act as the key contact for managers and unions on operational HR issues.
  • Ensure workforce data and metrics are accurate and current.
  • Provide guidance on restructures and workforce planning.
  • Support Learning & Development in identifying and addressing training needs.
  • Stay up to date with employment law and best practices, updating policies as needed.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

  • CIPD level 5 and working towards CIPD level 7

Experience in the following:

  • Providing HR Advice and guidance
  • ER
  • Strong record of implementing HR policy
  • Working in partnership with a range of stakeholders - managers, trade unions and employees
  • Managing conflict
