Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a collaborative HR team. In this role, you will provide hands-on HR support focused on employee relations, coaching managers on handling various HR matters. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years' experience in HR and a CIPD qualification. This position offers a salary up to £40,000 with standard work hours from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday, on-site.

Job description

SF Recruitment have recently partnered with a blue collar business who are looking for an experience HR Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a small, collaborative HR team, playing a key role in supporting and coaching managers across the business.

Salary: up to £40,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: 8-4 Monday to Friday (site based)

The Role

As HR Advisor, you will provide practical, hands‑on HR support, with a strong focus on employee relations. You will work closely with managers to guide them through people issues, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Advising and coaching managers on all employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance, and capability
  • Supporting investigations, hearings, and appeals, ensuring best practice is followed
  • Providing clear and pragmatic HR advice aligned to employment law and company policies
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across site operations
  • Supporting wider HR initiatives as part of the HR team
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a generalist HR or HR Advisor role
  • CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above preferred)
  • Strong experience managing a wide range of employee relations cases
  • The confidence to coach and influence managers at all levels
  • A practical, solutions‑focused approach, ideally with experience in construction, engineering, or a similar fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
