Overview

We are seeking an efficient and professional HR Advisor for a one year maternity contract, to join this dynamic secondary school, improving organisational performance and being a trusted partner to leaders across the Academy.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Principal and senior leaders with professional HR advice.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment - from defining roles to onboarding successful candidates.
  • Keep employee records accurate and up to date across all systems.
  • Conduct all required pre-employment checks.
  • Build strong relationships with staff, offering support and guidance when needed.
  • Assist HR Business Partners with employee relations cases (grievance, capability & disciplinary).
  • Help deliver HR and change management projects that drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience

Minimum CIPD Level 3 qualification. Strong organisational skills, ability to plan ahead, excellent communication, capacity to build positive relationships quickly and effectively, demonstrating empathy and resilience. Experience of HR within a school setting is essential for this role.

Working Hours

Full time, on site role, 35 hours per week, all year through.
