HR Advisor - Role Description

Salary: £35,000 per annum.

Location: Bridge of Allan, Scotland (hybrid working).

Our client is seeking an HR Advisor to provide first-line HR support across their growing apprenticeship training organisation, based in Bridge of Allan, Scotland (hybrid working). Reporting to the Central Operations Director, the HR Advisor will manage onboarding and offboarding, HR administration, basic employee relations, and office coordination, supporting both office-based and remote staff. The role also ensures safer recruitment, compliance, and a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including offers, contracts, onboarding, probation tracking, and offboarding.
  • Act as first point of contact for routine HR queries and advise managers on HR policies and low-risk employee relations matters.
  • Support safeguarding, compliance, and safer recruitment processes, including mandatory training tracking.
  • Oversee office administration, IT/equipment allocation, and coordination of internal communications and events.
  • Support remote workforce HR access and engagement.
  • Maintain HR metrics and identify opportunities to improve processes and employee experience.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor or HR Officer, with knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing onboarding/offboarding, HR administration, and routine employee relations.
  • Strong organisation, administration, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, MS Office, and collaboration tools.
  • CIPD Level 3+ and experience in education, apprenticeships, or safeguarding are desirable.
