Overview

We are currently partnering with a growing SME based in Birmingham City Centre, recruiting for a standalone HR Manager on a full-time and permanent basis.

This is a new position for the organisation, so will be crucial in helping them shape their organisational culture and implement policies and procedures to improve employee engagement and wellbeing.

Salary up to £40k depending on experience; the role is office-based 5 days a week.

Responsibilities
  • Being the main point of contact for managers and employees on any HR queries
  • Supporting with resolution of employee relations issues, such as disciplinary, grievance and absence management
  • Implementing and driving formal performance management and appraisal processes
  • Managing the recruitment and onboarding of new staff, including advertising vacancies, supporting with interviews, completing pre-employment checks and supporting with inductions
  • Reviewing and improving HR policies and processes and rolling these out across the business
