Grade: F £31,022-£34,434, Essential Car User allowance up to £963pa & 7% enhancement
Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week

The Role

This role is within the wider Housing Options team providing support to vulnerable customers applying through the Homes for Bolton housing register to secure access to social housing.

The role includes strong elements of casework and assessment within the Allocations policy and providing advice and support to more vulnerable customers as well as those in need of adapted / accessible accommodation due to their medical, care and support needs. The role also assists the delivery of a high quality Housing Options & Advice Service for homeless persons; those threatened with homelessness and others in housing need.

The role requires: effective liaison with a wider variety of partner agencies and services; provision of high quality advice; advocating and negotiating on behalf of customers; and work closely with other agencies externally & internally.

About You

The successful candidate will be an excellent team player and have:

Excellent communication and networking skills to build positive relationships and support customers to take ownership in addressing their housing and other needs.

Understanding, knowledge and awareness of housing need, homelessness issues, relevant legal context and associated service provision.

Excellent casework practice and strive for best practice in support of the team and service.

Demonstrate Initiative, be effective in organising, planning, and prioritising and be able to demonstrate a track record of making appropriate decisions and securing positive outcomes with complex casework.
