Qualifications

This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management worker to join our team here in Cumbria. Working to support our older customers (aged 55+) in Cumbria, you’ll be the go-to person for housing and property matters, ensuring homes are safe, tenancies are well managed, and customers feel engaged and supported. Providing a housing management service, you’ll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts.

What you’ll do
  • Support older residents, many of whom receive care from Lakeland Carers, the on-site team.
  • Assist customers with housing benefit claims and rent account management.
  • Maintain full occupancy and accurate rent records.
  • Conduct routine safety and compliance checks across buildings and communities.
  • Handle administrative tasks including record updates, work orders, and payment processing.
  • Collaborate with the care team to promote social engagement and purposeful living.

You have
  • A people-first mindset and ideally some experience in property management, compliance, or health & safety.
  • A proactive, organised approach with a \"can do\" attitude.
  • Passion for excellent customer service and genuine care for others.
  • Confidence working independently and influencing diverse groups.
  • Strong collaboration skills across teams and with external partners.
  • A love for property and pride in creating homes customers are proud of.
  • We can be a bit flexible around what hours your work, (or we’re open to agreeing a work pattern with you)
  • Able to use technology for creating and updating Health and Safety records, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups
  • Occasionally you will need to cover other schemes or attend team meetings, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
  • You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
