Job summary

A leading recruitment agency seeks a Housing Management Officer in Kidderminster to support young people in sustaining their tenancies and managing a portfolio of properties.   • Work with partners, landlords, and local agencies to deliver a high-quality housing service.
  • Respond to challenging situations using a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) approach.

Housing Management Officer (HMO)

Salary: £16.50 Umbrella

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Hours: 18.75 or 37.5 per week

Location: Multiple sites

DBS: Enhanced - On the update service Child and Adult cleared

Location: Kidderminster, Evesham and occassional travel to Bromsgrove and Redditch

We're looking for a Housing Management Officer in Kidderminster to support young people in sustaining their tenancies and developing independence, while managing a portfolio of properties. You'll oversee rent accounts, allocations, voids, property maintenance, and build positive relationships with residents and local partners.

What you'll do as a Housing Management Officer:
  • Support young people with tenancy responsibilities, benefits, and budgeting.
  • Manage allocations, lettings, and voids to minimise loss.
  • Conduct property inspections, report repairs, and maintain health & safety standards.
  • Work with partners, landlords, and local agencies to deliver a high-quality housing service.
  • Respond to challenging situations using a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) approach.
About you:
  • Knowledge of housing management officer and consumer standards.
  • Experience working with young people (desirable).
  • Willingness to work towards a Level 3 housing management qualification if not already held.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
