Housing Maintenance Administration Officer

The role

You will support the Housing Maintenance team with day-to-day administration, ensuring repairs, maintenance works and inspections are logged, scheduled and progressed efficiently. The post involves working closely with tenants, surveyors and contractors, keeping records up to date and ensuring service standards are met.

Key accountabilities
  • Log and process maintenance requests and repair enquiries.
  • Raise, update and close work orders on the internal system.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate contractor access.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications and works completed.
  • Handle incoming calls and email enquiries, providing clear and timely responses.
  • Support compliance tasks, including data checks and document uploads.
  • Produce basic reports and monitor workflow progress.
  • Assist the wider team with general administrative duties.
Requirements/key criteria
  • Previous experience in a repairs, housing, facilities or maintenance environment is preferred.
  • Confident handling a busy workload and working to deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good customer service skills with a calm, problem‑solving approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fast learner with the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
