Job summary

A healthcare trust in the UK is seeking a motivated Housekeeper to join Ward 7/CCU. You will be responsible for maintaining high housekeeping standards and supporting multidisciplinary teams. This role requires organisational skills, a good understanding of health and safety, and experience in a care setting. Ideal candidates will possess a secondary education and be prepared to undertake NVQ qualifications. The position offers 15 hours per week and a salary between £24,937 and £26,598 pro rata.

Housekeeper - Ward 7/CCU Cardiology and Endocrinology

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join the team within Ward 7/CCU as a Housekeeper.

In return, you will find your contribution is valued and that you are supported through excellent management and a teamwork approach, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with doctors, health care assistants, physiotherapists, and other allied health professionals.

Hours per week: 15 hours (2 days either Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays)

We welcome applications from Graduate visa holders; it is important to note that you must have a minimum of 6 months before this expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.

Main duties of the job

  • Have responsibility for housekeeping duties on the ward
  • Disseminate good practice to ward teams to ensure service is maintained in their absence
  • Provide an efficient housekeeping service, ensuring that high standards are always maintained. Ensure that a friendly, welcoming, clean, organised, safe and comfortable working environment is provided for patients, visitors and staff
