Job description
Housekeeper

25 hours per week preferred, 10 hours minimum. Workplace location: Thurston Outdoor Education Centre, Coniston, Cumbria.

Pay: £25,989 per annum pro rata (£13.47 per hour). A Market Forces Supplement is attached to this post. Permanent position.

Work pattern: Flexible to cover the needs of the centre. Weekly hours will normally be worked over 10 days in a 14‑day period. Working pattern can be negotiated.

Overview

Thurston Outdoor Education Centre is set on the east of Coniston Lake (2 miles from Coniston Village) in the beautiful Lake District National park and owned and operated by South Tyneside Council.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for all activities of a domestic nature and ensuring they meet high standards of cleanliness and homeliness.

The role is not a residential position; accommodation may be discussed for a short-term arrangement.
