The Isle of Gigha Heritage Trust is seeking an experienced Hotel Manager to lead the Isle of Gigha Hotel and guide it through an exciting period of phased reopening and development.
This role suits a hands on hospitality professional who wants to manage a hotel that sits at the heart of its island community.
You will take overall responsibility for the day to day management of the hotel, including the bar, restaurant and bedrooms.
You will oversee the phased reopening of services, with the bar currently operating, the restaurant reopening in early spring, and bedrooms opening partially during the 2026 season.
You will manage existing operations while driving improvements across all areas of the business.
You will play a central role in developing the hotel through a phased growth approach.
You will be a visible, engaged presence within the hotel, leading by example and supporting staff.
You will work closely with the Isle of Gigha Heritage Trust to ensure the hotel continues to serve both visitors and the local community.
This is a full time, permanent role.
The position includes on site accommodation within the hotel.
The role is based on the Isle of Gigha, a short ferry journey from the Kintyre peninsula.
Proven experience in hospitality management.
A practical, hands on approach to running a hotel.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Commercial awareness and the ability to grow a business sustainably.
A willingness to embrace island life and become part of the local community.
Salary guide of £30,000 per annum.
