Position Summary

This role supports the Housekeeping Manager in the daily operation of the department, ensuring all guest rooms and public areas meet established cleanliness and presentation standards. The position oversees room inspections, coordinates daily room assignments, assists with staff supervision, and acts as a key liaison between Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering, and Laundry. A strong focus on service, safety, and teamwork is essential.

  • Conduct thorough room inspections to ensure compliance with brand, safety, and cleanliness standards.
  • Communicate room assignments, updates, and operational changes clearly throughout the shift.
  • Manage inventory and stock control for supplies, equipment, and linen.
  • Complete daily reports, logs, and system updates accurately and on time.
  • Supervise, motivate, and support housekeeping team members to maintain smooth operations.
  • Train and onboard new staff, ensuring consistent service standards.
  • Assign and monitor tasks to achieve quality, productivity, and timely completion.
  • Coordinate with other departments for seamless hotel operations.
  • Enforce safety procedures, proper PPE use, and prompt reporting of hazards or incidents.
  • Deliver professional and discreet guest service; respond promptly to requests and concerns.
  • Report and follow up on maintenance issues and safety concerns.
  • Verify room status, resolve discrepancies, and distribute daily assignments.
  • Oversee housekeeping and laundry activities for efficient workflow.
  • Physically able to lift, carry, push, and pull housekeeping items; comfortable standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
