A regional health care provider in Bromsgrove is seeking a full-time Carer to support children in schools. This role requires delivering specialized care including tracheostomy, ventilation, and enteral feeding. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for children with complex needs. We currently have a full-time, term time only vacancy for a school Carer in one of our South Worcestershire schools. We will provide full training and support will be given. As a Home Support Worker, you will be delivering care to children or young people within the school environment. This involves being trained to competently deliver specialist care procedures, e.g. tracheostomy care, home ventilation, enteral feeding dependant on individual needs. Successful applicants will meet the child/ young person at school and provide 1;1 care during the school day. We pride ourselves in providing outstanding care to patients across Worcestershire. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team involved in the assessment and care of children with complex nursing needs. To communicate at an appropriate level for individual children, young people and their carers. Undertake nursing duties, as agreed with the Orchard Service who are responsible for the child/ young person. This may include ventilation, tracheostomy, enteral feeding etc. To understand individual plans of care to ensure appropriate action is taken in the event of a change in condition or problem occurring. Assist with the personal care and comfort of the child and to maintain the child's dignity and privacy at all times, including manual handling when necessary. Assist in maintaining a safe environment for the child, family/carers and staff, including safe use of equipment, reporting any malfunctions urgently.
