Job description
Home Care Assistants: West Lancs Area

Stocks Hall Homecare is a well-established, family company serving the West Lancs area with an excellent reputation for high-quality care. We are looking for genuinely caring people (double ups / duos welcome) to join our well-established team.

We have full-time, regular hours available on our rota. The starting rate is £12.21 per hour with enhancements at weekends (£12.61) and a mileage contribution for drivers of 30 p per mile. You must be over 18. Example shifts: morning shift 7 am‑1 pm, lunch calls 11 am‑2 pm, or evening run 4 pm‑11 pm.

You will provide personal care and support to individuals within their own homes, including assistance with washing, bathing, toileting, medication prompts and domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, shopping, appointments, preparing and cooking meals. No two days are the same; there is no checklist you need to complete – you can make a difference in our local community with your care and compassion for others.

We provide full paid training (both online and classroom based), including specialist courses in PEG feeding and dementia awareness. We ask that you have a genuine passion for caring for others, communicate well with your team and residents, and most important all have a good sense of humour. Community care requires regular daily travel, so drivers are highly desired.

Benefits include:

  • Fully paid training
  • Paid DBS check
  • Blue light card scheme
  • Pension
  • £150 refer‑a‑friend bonus
  • Free uniform
  • Flexible working hours
  • Paid annual leave
