Overview

Fairmile Grange. An Allegra Care Home. Located next to the Christchurch hospital, and less than a mile from the town centre, we are a beautiful, modern, purpose-built care home, delivering personalised and homely care for our wonderful residents.

We have a vacancy for an organised administrator to join our team on a part-time basis as an Administration Support Assistant. The role is to assist in supporting the home on the administration side of things.

Responsibilities
  • Be the first impression our visitors receive and provide a welcoming, professional front-desk service.
  • Support the home on administrative tasks and use computer systems and software as required.
  • Manage emails, a multi-line phone system, and various apps as part of daily duties.
  • Assist with general administration tasks and ensure smooth office operations.
  • Work with the care team and other colleagues to support efficient running of the home.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Excellent telephone manner and good people skills.
  • Competence with computers, emails, multi-line phone system, and various apps.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Experience in administration and front-desk duties is desirable.
Details

We have a schedule available for 24 hours per week (3 x 8 hour shifts). The exact days will rotate on a schedule, primarily during the week with some scheduled weekends. Core hours are three shifts per week, with the opportunity to pick up extra hours for holidays or sickness coverage.

There will be occasions at the front desk, so comfort working with the public is important. Full training will be provided for other systems used in the home.
