Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Ealing

Start Date: September 2025

Location: London Borough of Ealing

Salary: £95 - £120 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Full-time | Term Time Only

About the Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, including covering classes when teachers are absent. This is a varied and rewarding position ideal for someone looking to develop their leadership in the classroom.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Delivering pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2 in the teacher's absence

* Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups, helping them achieve their potential

* Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment

* Preparing classroom resources and supporting with general classroom duties

* Liaising with staff and parents to provide regular progress updates

* Following the school's behaviour, safeguarding and teaching policies at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* A Level 4 HLTA qualification or equivalent

* Previous experience working in a primary school setting

* Strong classroom management and confident delivery of lessons

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills

* A proactive, flexible and positive attitude
