Job summary

A leading educational support provider in Sudbury is seeking an HLTA / Experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a special needs school. This role involves supporting students with Moderate, Severe, and Complex needs in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, working closely with parents to ensure cohesive learning. Applicants should have experience in educational settings and a passion for making a difference in special needs education. This full-time position offers the opportunity for temp to permanent employment.

This school is built around supporting the needs of children with Moderate, Severe and Complex needs.

The Role includes:

  • Working 5 days a week within the school provision, supporting students with MLD and SLD in small groups or 1:1 basis to help improve engagement, interaction and raise attainment
  • Learning and developing your LSA skills
  • Working closely with parents to ensure what is carried out at school is continued at home
  • A friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning, as well as the ability to quickly build up strong relationships and rapport with individual children.

This is a full-time, temp to permanent opportunity (8:30am - 3:30pm).

Experience supporting children or adults with special needs is required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
