Overview

HLTA – Full-time role in a primary school in Chislehurst. Start: September 2025.

We are currently seeking a confident and proactive HLTA to join a welcoming and well-supported primary school in Chislehurst on a full-time basis from September.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time cover across two primary classes, already supported by a class teacher and another HLTA.
• Deliver high-quality PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) cover to ensure continuity of learning and maintain strong classroom routines in the teacher’s absence.
• Lead whole-class sessions, following lesson plans, and adapt activities to meet the needs of all learners.
• Support small group interventions, assist with assessment for learning, and provide targeted support to pupils who may need additional help.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Experience working in a primary school setting.
• Strong classroom presence and ability to manage and engage pupils.
• A flexible and team-oriented mindset.
• Enthusiasm to support learning and step up when needed.
• While HLTA status is not essential, prior experience leading or covering classes is highly desirable.
