Start: September 2025

We are currently seeking a confident and proactive HLTA to join a welcoming and well-supported primary school in Camden on a full-time basis from September.

The Role

In this HLTA role, you will provide full-time cover across two primary classes, both supported by a class teacher and another HLTA. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) cover, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining strong classroom routines in the absence of the class teacher.

You will lead whole-class sessions, follow lesson plans, and adapt activities to meet the needs of all learners. Additionally, you will support small group interventions, assist with assessment for learning, and provide targeted support to pupils needing extra help.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Strong classroom presence and ability to manage and engage pupils.
  • A flexible, team-oriented mindset.
  • Enthusiasm for supporting learning and stepping up when needed.

While HLTA status is not essential, prior experience leading or covering classes is highly desirable. The school offers ongoing training, coaching, and professional development to support your growth in the role.

Rated Good by Ofsted, the school is known for its nurturing ethos, excellent behaviour, and above-average academic outcomes. The leadership team is forward-thinking, and ongoing training and professional development are available for all staff. The school is easily accessible by car and public transport.
