A prominent healthcare institution in the UK is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to work within the HIV service. The role involves providing patient care, assisting in daily operations, and guiding junior nursing staff. Candidates should have strong clinical knowledge of HIV, effective communication skills, and the ability to work flexibly. The post holder is responsible for ensuring immediate care to the relevant client group and will work primarily within the HIV service at The Hathersage Centre. The post holder will assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care for HIV positive patients, supporting and guiding junior staff in the process.
Post holder will provide direct patient care and have detailed clinical knowledge of the specialist area. Post holder will assist the senior nurses in ensuring high standards of care are delivered & maintained, act as a positive role model within the department for staff, patients and carers, deputise for the senior nurse as required and enable nurses to acquire clinical and professional competencies by facilitating high‑quality education and staff development opportunities.
Post holders will be expected to participate fully in their personal development.
A band 5‑6 training role would be considered if applicants lack clinical skills or experience.
